Nicky Sue
We rescued Nicky from a shelter in 1995 when she was 18 months old. She is a Siamese X breed and we
think the "X" is Tiger. She has very blue eyes and we are told that that is rare for not
being a pure Siamese breed.
It took Nicky many years to feel comfortable enough to sit on our laps and accept closeness.
It's only been in the last couple of years that we could hug and kiss her without her
straining to get away from us. We now call her "The Love Pig" because she now wants
constant attention. The minute you sit in a chair she jumps in your lap and stares at you with
those beautiful clear, blue eyes, waiting for the petting to begin.
As comfortable as she is with Denny and me, she won't come out of her room if there is anyone
else in the house except for Dennys' parents (she loves them!) We don't know why she accepts them and no one
else. She wont' come around our children or grandchildren and she hates my sister. This really
upsets my sister as she is a great catlover.
We feel very fortunate to have her as she is a very well-behaved cat. She actually obeys voice
commands. Unlike her brother, Ted. Read on....
Ted Edward
We rescued Teddy from the street in 1995. He belonged to neighbors who moved out of the neighborhood
and just left him behind. He was dirty and undernourished. It didn't take him long to
flourish under our care.
Teddy is the complete opposite of Nicky. He never obeys. If we tell him to get down from
a table that he's not allowed to be on, he will give you that blank stare as if to say, "I'm sorry,
I don't understand English." I think he's passive-agressive. He does
whatever he wants whenever he wants. He is always under foot, always crying for attention,
and he usually breaks something at least once a month!
But do we regret taking him? Oh, no.
And do we love him? Oh, yes!
