After Powell read the article about Tony Giammalvo in the March, 2005 Gorgon, he sent Tony a thank-you note for his 60+ years of devotion to service. Here is Tony's reply to Powell:

Tony, on behalf of a grateful generation, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for honoring the "Greatest Generation." You honor us all.
