I was an original member of the Medical Department of the U.S.S. Euryale from its inception in December, 1943 until being discharged in November 1945. My shipmates might recall me by the nickname, ISKIE, as my name is difficult to say. I am trying to contact any of the Medical Staff who remember me, would like to correspond with me. Please help me to get in touch with my former crew members.
Kathy Kirkpatrick Hilbert writes:
Our father John D. Kirkpatrick S2c was on the ship in its infancy for only 2 months. He fell from the mast and was given a medical discharge. I wonder if there is anyone that would remember that and why. He would have been 82 this past September, so I don't suppose there is anyone that would be connected for information, unless medical logs were released.

Great site! I have been following the site for a while. I have also received the Gorgon newsletter until I believe it was stopped. I am the son of a former crewmember. My father, Albert Thomas Keschl, served on the ship from 1943 - 1945. I would love to become a member and would be willing to contribute to the site. Any information, that others have about my father would be greatly appreciated.

This was one of my grandfathers ships. He was Lt. James S. Shepard. He was on this ship as well as the USS Fulton. He has since passed away on 4-18-1993. If anyone would have any information on him or pictures of him or of him on the boat I would love it. He was also on the CTF 12 Staff and the Com subs 7th Flt. Staff. He served from 3-13-1942 to Sept. 1945. Thanks and God Bless to all who serve and are serving this great country.
