Ernest Bertrand, Jr.

Ernest was born on May 3, 1920 in Quincy, Massachusetts. He enlisted in the navy as Apprentice Seaman on April 6, 1940. Ernest held the ratings of AS, S/2C, YN3, YN1(SS) as well as YNC(SS). He retired from the navy on May 15, 1962 as Chief Yeoman. Ernest was given four honorable discharges.

Upon his discharge, Ernest worked for Pfizers, until his death.

Until his passing in 1972, he was very active in organizations such as the American Legion, Elks, SubVets, VFW, RAFA and the Polish Club.

Ernest is remembered by his daughter, Dotty.
